Question Types:
- Finding Sentence Errors
- Improving Sentences
- Improving Paragraphs
Strategies:
- Say it ‘Out Loud’ in Your Head: A lot of grammar mistakes simply don’t sound right. The issue with this on a standardized test is that you cannot make much noise. Pretend you are listening to a friend speak each sentence to you. Or say them to yourself quietly to test what sounds right.
- Take the Simplest Route: If a sentence is awkward or bulky, chances are it isn’t the right answer. Try to find the most efficient way to convey the information.
